We are working to find solutions!

We are working to find solutions!

06/02/2021

We did it! With the generous support of our donors, Friends has hired Portland-based Jacobs Engineering to begin technical work to understand the lake’s challenges and develop a slate of solutions for community members and elected leaders to act upon to restore our beautiful lake to a sought-after destination for residents and tourists alike offering every manner of water sport from rowing and sailing to paddling, swimming, sunbathing and so much more!

The Memorial Day weekend crowds were stunning with hundreds and hundreds of people wading and swimming in the lake, relaxing on the manicured lawns (thank you Clark County parks’ employees!), and on the move. Our Phase 1 effort will cost $45,000 with additonal phases totaling $150,000. We are committed to this work!

The letter below was sent May 31 from our Chairman Larry Cassidy to local agencies and elected officials informing them of the planned work and asking for assistance.
